Labour Chowk

A note about your data.

Labour Chowk is a small digital office for unfinished things. This page describes what the current product stores and what you choose to share.

Your private files.

Guest cases, focus check-ins, and solo timers are stored in this browser. They remain until you clear them or clear this site’s browser data. Guest mode does not automatically upload those files.

If you sign in, Clerk handles your account and authentication. Your case titles, next steps, departments, completion state, and private progress records are saved in Neon Postgres under your account. These records remain until you delete your account. Browser files are copied into an account only when you choose to import or restore them.

Account progress and solo timers also have device copies. Those copies are separate from guest files. Search terms and certificate rendering stay in your browser.

The waiting room is shared.

Nicknames and optional intentions are visible to room visitors. Chat messages and the shared scratchpad are visible to seated participants. Private case titles, next steps, and account history are never automatically copied into the room.

Presence expires after about two minutes without a heartbeat. Chat keeps at most the latest 60 messages for up to 24 hours. Scratchpad content expires after 24 hours; invitation rooms close after 24 hours. A room identity cookie lasts up to 30 days so the app can recognise your anonymous seat. Public rooms remain available and refresh their storage lifetime while used.

A reported message is copied into a private moderation queue with its nickname, text, reason, anonymous reporter and author identifiers, and timestamps. Reports and moderation records are retained for up to 30 days. A removal from a room applies to that anonymous identity for up to 24 hours. Reports are not linked to your signed-in account.

Leaving a room or deleting your account does not recall messages, notes, screenshots, or copies other participants have already seen.

Feedback and reliability.

Feedback contains the category and message you submit, a random reference, and its date. It is not associated with your account. Feedback is retained for up to 30 days, with at most the latest 200 submissions kept. Please leave out contact details, case contents, and other sensitive information.

The app’s error reports contain a fixed error code and an approved route name, rather than your case text, message contents, full URL, email address, or stack trace. These reports are retained for up to 30 days, with at most the latest 200 signals kept. Short-lived hashed network identifiers are used for rate limits and expire after about a minute.

Hosting, authentication, storage, and security providers may process technical request and security information as part of operating the service. This includes information such as network addresses, device details, and request times under their own retention policies.

Keeping and removing copies.

Data and account settings let you clear guest files from this browser or permanently delete your signed-in account and its active cases and history. Download a personal backup from Records first if you want one.

Account deletion writes a one-way identifier marker so delayed device requests cannot recreate deleted records. That marker is retained for this safety purpose. Account deletion started here removes active files immediately; account deletions made directly through Clerk are discovered by a daily rotating reconciliation that checks up to 100 accounts with stored files per run. The browser that completes deletion clears that account’s local copies when browser storage permits. Other browsers may retain their progress and timer copies after sign-out or while offline. Sign out and use the account-copy control in Settings on each browser, or clear this site’s browser data there; remote erasure is not guaranteed.

Downloaded backups and certificates are files on your device. Remove them separately. Infrastructure backups and security logs follow provider retention policies; deletion from the active app does not erase copies already downloaded or shared with other people.

Anonymous feedback and moderation records are not attached to an account and follow their stated expiry periods.

The services behind the desk.

Vercel hosts the app, Clerk provides optional accounts, Neon stores private account files, and Upstash stores shared-room state, reports, and short-lived operational records. The app does not send your cases or room conversations to an AI service.

Questions about this product can be submitted through the feedback form. It does not collect contact details, so it cannot provide an individual reply.
